We’d love for you to join the Sharewear team! Take a look at the photos below and explore the volunteering roles we have available. Getting started is simple, there’s no formal application. We’ll arrange a friendly call to show you around and give you a try out shift at a time that suits you.

Volunteering takes place at our Edwalton site, just near Notcutts Garden Centre. Shifts are flexible, Tuesday - Thursday, 9:30 am - 3:30 pm, and you can choose half or full days. We simply ask for a minimum of 3 hours per week, so it’s easy to fit around your schedule.

If none of the roles below are suitable for you at the moment, find ways to donate time with us.

Volunteer Ambassador – Sharewear Clothing Scheme.

Are you passionate about tackling clothing poverty and keeping good clothing in use? Do you want to use your voice, experience, or platform to help others? Join us as a Volunteer Ambassador and help Sharewear reach people we could never reach alone.
We’re looking for people who care deeply about social justice, community, and clothing circularity. We particularly welcome volunteers with lived experience of clothing poverty or hardship, whose insight helps us shape how we engage with and support others with dignity.
Whether you’re confident in community spaces, connected in corporate settings, or active online, we have three flexible Ambassador roles:

Interested? For more information please contact Emily Ashton via 07751 712849 or email fundraising@sharewearclothingscheme.org

Community Ambassadors help us build strong, local connections by representing Sharewear in person across community spaces.
This role is all about raising awareness of clothing poverty, speaking confidently about our work, and encouraging people to get involved through donating, volunteering, or supporting campaigns.
Community Ambassadors attend events, visit schools or groups, share materials, and help us spot new opportunities or partners. They bring our values to life dignity, compassion, hope, and community while feeding back insights that help us improve our services.

Corporate Ambassadors use their professional networks to open doors for Sharewear in workplaces, business groups, and industry settings.
They help organisations understand clothing poverty and introduce partnership opportunities such as ReLived, brand donor clothing, sponsorship, or staff engagement activities.
This role suits people who feel confident in professional environments and enjoy building relationships. Corporate Ambassadors help extend our reach into spaces the staff team may not access alone, while modelling our values and signposting any opportunities or enquiries to the team.

Digital Ambassadors help us amplify our message online by sharing content, campaigns, and stories across their digital platforms.
Whether posting occasionally or creating their own content, they play a key role in helping new audiences understand clothing poverty and the importance of clothing circularity.
This role is flexible and creative, allowing volunteers to use their authentic voice while promoting ways for people to get involved. Digital Ambassadors help extend our reach, highlight our impact, and ensure our values are reflected in all online interactions.

By following our socials, we hope you will identify content for sharing but there are no ideal requirements re frequency of this. You know your community best and will know how best to avoid content or audience fatigue.
