Sharewear Clothing Scheme arose out of the recognised need to provide local people with life-changing clothing support.

Our mission is to live out the Gospel values as expressed in Matthew 25:

Sharewear Clothing Scheme

Sharewear was founded in March 2014 by a group of five Catholic women from the combined parishes of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Bulwell and Infant of Prague, Bestwood Park, with the support of our parish priest Fr Gerry Murphy and the parishioners.

We wish to actively live out the Commandment “Love your neighbour as yourself” and believe that “Faith without works is dead”. (James 2:17)

We continue to be inspired by the words of Blessed Óscar Romero: “Aspire not to HAVE more, but to BE more.”

In addition, we believe in the care of our planet and our scheme prevents clothes from being sent to landfill sites, helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We re-use bags, boxes and other equipment with this same aim in mind.
