Referring someone in Nottingham
Sharewear currently has 220 referral partners across Nottinghamshire. If you would like your organisation to become a referral partner, please email info@sharewearclothingscheme.org for an electronic copy of our blank referral voucher that can be used for any individual or family needing clothing support.
Support workers who already have our referral vouchers, please print and complete a copy with the service user and provide them with this physical copy that can be used from September 2024. Please ensure the address listed is our new Edwalton address, if not please contact info@sharewearclothingscheme.org for our new referral voucher. They are then able to attend our Nottingham Access Centre and have the relevant details to find our centre. Please advise them to bring the voucher with them. There is no need to book an appointment. Our open hours are drop-in sessions.
In the event a service user would not be able to visit our Access Centre themselves we offer a collection option. A completed electronic copy of the referral voucher, including as much detail as possible regarding the clothing items and sizes needed, must be emailed to referrals@sharewearclothingscheme.org. We will then arrange a collection date and time for our volunteer team to prepare the order for. When collecting an order please arrive with the name of the service user being collected on behalf of.
Attending our Nottingham Access Centre
Please ensure you have a voucher before visiting. Everyone must provide their voucher to our coordinator before they are allowed in.

Outreach to Sheffield and South Yorkshire
Sharewear Sheffield Facebook
In 2021 our team at Sharewear Sheffield supported 3000 local people in their first year of operations. Due to the landlord’s premature eviction from our premises for demolition and resulting lack of renewal of funding, our Sheffield centre closed in December 2021. Since then we have been providing outreach deliveries to organisations across Sheffield and South Yorkshire who need clothing support for their own service users. Using our detailed outreach order form, organisations and constituted groups can receive a monthly delivery of quality checked, sized and categorized clothing which they can then make available to their own service users.
Email our Outreach co-ordinator for more details on jo@sharewearclothingscheme.org
We’d prefer to replace our outreach delivery system by empowering communities to save clothes from landfill and offer them to people who need them locally, through our Community Sharewear franchise offer. See Community Sharewear for more details.
Community Franchise Network
We’re frequently approached by organisations and individuals around the country who need to access free-of-charge clothing for those they support. With over 300,000 tonnes of clothing going to waste in the UK per year, there’s no need for anyone not to be able to access their Right to Clothing. But We need YOUR help to bring free clothing support to those who need it in your own communities.
Our franchise network is designed to effectively bring even more of the UK’s unwanted, unworn, unsold or discarded clothing – of as-new and brand new quality– to those who most need it. By working with faith groups, community organisations and groups, we hope to empower communities to create full access to the Right to Clothing locally.
When you join our Community Sharewear franchise network you will receive
- Full training and ongoing support from Sharewear’s National Lead and our Regional employees
- An operating manual/access to our operating portal
