t was wonderful to be thanked last week by the British Red Cross in Nottingham for the clothing support we provided to their #SitUpServicefor street homeless people last winter. Whilst there, our volunteer Backo enjoyed chatting to Emergency Response volunteer Julie Newton about the impact our clothing support has on families who have escaped fires. Julie said that she couldn’t put into words how much it means to the families who have fled for their lives in their nightwear to receive clean good quality clothes to wear while they begin the process of getting their lives back in order and claiming on insurance etc. Meanwhile, our CEO Louise Cooke enjoyed describing the nature and impact of our work to the Director of Public Health for Nottingham, Alison Challenger, who Louise invited to our film premiere.
