  • Volunteers Catch World Cup Fever

Although we are busy packing up to move, Backo still was able to find this stock of clothing for a man with nothing to his name but the clothes he had on. Being a bit of an England superstar!

  • Well done and thanks Andrew!

Well done to our trustee Andrew Britton who completed his 500 mile hike along El Camino de Santiago in northern Spain. Andrew was raising awareness of mental illness and raising sponsorship funds for us at the same time. Thanks to those who sponsored him to the tune of £100. Here he is at home today […]

  • Our Wednesday session

Just one of the 11 children and adults who had clothing support from us at our base during our short session today. Clothes for more than 100 children aged 2-16 were also delivered to 2 of our outreach partners. #clothingpoverty affects so many people in Notts.

  • Providing clothing support for 4 years…

The Wednesday volunteer team celebrated our 4th birthday today by just mucking in as usual with all the hard work. It was great to have trustee George Hagen with us, giving up time in his holidays as a teacher as usual, and founding member Angela Cooke, visiting Nottingham for a couple of weeks. In spite of […]

  • Refugees to the Aid of Sharewear in Summer

We clothed 4 families on site today and a large number of women plus twelve families through our work with other organisations.  Key to our productivity were the number of our refugee and asylum seeker volunteers (and their children!)  who helped at the session. Here are 4 of them helping a white British woman find […]

  • Mr and Mrs Volunteers

Meet Irfan and Abreen , our first husband and wife volunteers, who will be joining us on Fridays in the new year. We still have volunteering roles available if you, like them, would like to help us with our work. Work like we carried out today, clothing five families and making a delivery to the […]

    New Volunteers Join the Team

At a very busy session today at Sharewear we clothed five families with members ranging from an unborn baby boy to a 67 year-old grandma.  A visitor from Recycle and Free in Sherwood Facebook group, who support our work , was so blown away by the range and quality of clothing and the numbers of […]

  • Drivers Needed

    Drivers Needed

Have you got a couple of hours to spare on a Wednesday or Friday? Sharewear are looking for drivers to deliver our outreach packs and sorted clothes to distribution points across the city. There would also be occasional collection of donations from businesses or people’s homes. The times needed are between 12.30pm and 3pm on […]

  • Rise Park Primary and Nursery School Help us to go on Clothing Families

This large donation of lovely clothes from Rise Park Primary and Nursery School helped us to provide people in need with clothing on another incredibly busy day. We clothed 8 families on site, totalling 18 people, as well as clothing another 22 by delivery. All your generous donations, big and small, mean that clothing 40 people […]
