South Nottingham Catholic Academy Trust Clothe the Naked in The Year of Mercy

Sharewear Clothing Scheme
Tom Baptiste, Chaplain to the Trust, and Sarah behind the mountain of clothes

All the schools of the South Nottingham Catholic Academy Trust recently set themselves the challenge for their ‘Day of Mercy’ of every child bringing in an unwanted item of clothing from home.  This was to fulfil the work of mercy known as ‘clothe the naked’  in the Catholic Church. Today Tom Baptiste, Chaplain across all the schools, delivered the clothes donated by children of The Becket School, Our Lady and St Edwards Catholic Primary, St Edmund Campion Catholic Primary and St. Patricks Catholic Primary. (The clothes from Blessed Robert Widmerpool Catholic Primary had already been delivered previously).  These clothes will be distributed to families in need across Nottingham, north Notts and parts of Derbyshire. Thanks to all the children who gave so generously, and their families, for their support. And thanks to all the schools for deciding to support us for their ‘Day of Mercy’.
