What a great vibe there was this afternoon at the Forest Fields free community event. At our stall we clothed 32 people, mostly children, and in particular helped lots of families prepare for summer term with uniform items. As well as this we made connections with organisations interested in becoming referral agencies, outreach partners or distribution points, including NG7, Last Orders and Sherwood Rise Residents Association. It was great to meet the people behind Asian Women’s Project, who have already become our first official distribution point in that area of Nottingham. Our clothes are distributed at their centre on Noel Street during their Tuesday coffee mornings. Carole Ann Jones, one of the Berridge ward councillors also had the opportunity to find out more about our service. The delicious free home made Asian, Carribean and European food was the icing on the cake!
