  • The Transformative Power of Clothing Support

The rain finally came to Daybrook today, in buckets. Luckily this woman, (one of our several referrals), who had arrived in summer clothing, left fully equipped for the weather thanks to the wealth of wonderful clothing we have in stock. Amongst the many other clothes she took was a smart jacket which she said made […]

  • Welcoming New Partner Forget-Me-Notts

On our busiest day so far in our new premises, (with 7 referrals), it was wonderful to have a visit from Rob and Rebecca of Operation Orphan bringing children’s clothes that aren’t suitable for their work overseas. They also had a referral from their sister charity Forget-Me-Notts, for a local family in need.

  • New Premises A Great Success

Although this photo doesn’t do it justice, it gives some indication of the enormous amount of progress we have made in sweltering heat in just a few days at our new premises, even with many volunteers unavailable through summer. Our stock, (this is just some of it), is so beautifully displayed that it makes […]

  • Notts County FC to Support Notts People

Prior to the 2018-2019 EFL football season kicking off this weekend one of our ambassadors, Matthew Cooke, met with Notts County today while the official season launch for the whole EFL took place at Meadow Lane. As a result, we are absolutely THRILLED to announce that Notts County Football Club will be supporting our work […]

  • Teaming Up with Good Joe

A red letter day. It was amazing to have a visit from Margaret Church of Leeds based online fair trade men’s clothing retailer Good Joe. For each t-shirt bought from Good Joe a new t-shirt is given by them to a person in need. Margaret delivered 55 new t-shirts all the way from Leeds […]

  • International Effort Makes Light Work of our Move

27 volunteers from multiple countries worked together as the perfect team today to pull off the mammoth task of relocating our premises. There are no words good enough to express our enormous thanks to our regular volunteer team plus: George Hagen; Steve, Angela and Matthew Cooke and Donna Laver; Savanna Rags; HSBC for giving Steve […]

  • Final Preparations for our Move

Just some of the amazing team who worked so hard today in the final stages of preparing for our move. If anyone has a few hours on Friday morning 20th July to lend us some muscle in loading and unloading a hired van, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • Volunteers Catch World Cup Fever

Although we are busy packing up to move, Backo still was able to find this stock of clothing for a man with nothing to his name but the clothes he had on. Being a bit of an England superstar!

  • Clothing Poverty in a Heatwave

Just one of 23 people to receive clothing support in 2 hours this afternoon, including a family of 8. #clothingpoverty is an all-year-round problem. Just because it’s hot weather, it doesn’t mean people don’t still need support.
